Margery passed into the presence of her Lord on Sunday May 22, 2005. She was born on Dec. 2, 1920 in Gadsby, Alberta to William and Penny Carlton. She was the youngest of nine children. She will always be loved and remembered by her devoted husband, Dave, of 59 years, daughter Penny (Randy) Boldt and grandson Craig Boldt. She will be missed by her sister Helen (Cecil) Denham of Chilliwack, sisters-in-law Mary Barr (Carlton) of Cut Knife, Sask. and Helen Carlton of Unity, Sask. and several nieces and nephews, all of whom were very special to her.
She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Vera Ganert, Reba Barber, Alma Patrick, Pearl Rutley, and brothers Stanley Carlton, William Carlton and Peter Carlton. Margery spent her childhood and teenage years on the farm in the Vance district of Saskatchewan. She came to Chilliwack as a young girl in the early 1940’s and stayed marry, raise her family and make it her home.
Mother was kind, loving and considerate and such a lady. Her grandson, Craig was very special to her and she never missed an opportunity to spoil him, and with her little smile, say “that’s what grandparents are for”. She loved sunny days, her flower gardens and baking but her passion was her family and her faith in the Lord. We all enjoyed her great sense of humor and wit. We will miss you so much Mom, but until we see you again, your love and life and all the great memories will live in us.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 27, 2005 from 1:30 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack.
