It is with a great deal of sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Sherrill (Sherry) Milne. Sherry was born in Ottawa, Ont. on March 9, 1943 and passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008 at the Chilliwack Hospital at age 65, after a long and exhausting illness.
She will be sadly missed by her loving partner Stu Jones; brother Rick Milne; and family and sisters-in-law Beth Milne and family and Lisa Milne.
Sherry was predeceased by her father Harry, mother Vera and brothers Ross and Scott Milne.
Sherry spent her younger years in Vancouver and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree at UBC. She found her calling at the university’s Frederic Wood Theatre and spent 33 years there, heading the props department. Sherry retired from UBC in 1998 and joined her partner in Chilliwack. She volunteered with the RCMP Victims Assistance program and worked as a family therapist at Chilliwack Community services.
With her caring and understanding way she touch the hearts of many people. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held on November 10, 2008 at 3:30 at the Shxwhay Hall 44680 Schweyey Rd, (west end of Wolfe Rd). Sherry would be honoured to have her Hotrod and Antique car friends (with their cars) in attendance.
