Margaret Martin, nee Rowe, was born in Hearts Content, NL on September 21, 1922, and she passed away on November 14, 2017, in Chilliwack, BC, a town she loved.
Margaret grew up in Canso, NS, where her father worked for the Western Union Cable Company (telegraph). She received her RN from the Ottawa Civic Hospital. In 1954, she joined General Motors in Oshawa, ON, serving as head nurse for 25 years. In 1996, her adventurous spirit lead her to Chilliwack, BC.
Margaret loved the outdoors, her dogs and a good book.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stuart Martin.
She leaves her two younger sisters Norma Chapman, of Ancaster, ON, and Mary Pedlar, of Regina, SK.
A Memorial service will take place on Monday October 1st at 2:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Chapel, 45901 Victoria Avenue in Chilliwack.
