After a long struggle with Alzheimer’s, our mom slipped away peacefully in her sleep on April 24th, 2010 at Menno Hospital.
Born August 11th, 1930, Mom spent her life as a homemaker. She took great pride in her home, baking and knitting. She loved picking berries, finding a great sale, spending time at the YMCA, square dancing, snowshoeing, fishing, camping and her involvement in World Vision.
Where she really shone is when she was spending time with her family. Whether she was playing cards, making that special Birthday cake or just being there to listen, she was greatly loved and will never be forgotten.
Sorely missed by her daughter Debbie (Bill) Bouthot; grandchildren, Jeff (Yvonne) and great-granddaughter Cassie Bouthot; Josh (Maxine) and great-granddaughter Sophie Bouthot. Michelle, Michael and Jamie Bazowski.
Sister Mary (Norman) Hayter, Brother Dennis (Edoline) Saarela, sister-in-law Elaine Brekka, Clarice Elhert.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Paul Adcock Feb. 24, 1960. Her daughter, Ellen Bazowski Oct. 16, 1982 and her brother Helge Brekka Dec. 1, 2006.
Following her wishes there will be no service, her ashes will be scattered, and we will have a family picnic at a later date.
