Margaret Friesen passed away peacefully on March 4, 2013 at Cheam Village in Agassiz, BC at the age of 87.
Margaret worked at the Royal City Cannery, Reimer’s Nursery packaging her favorite flower and worked seasonally for York Farms for 26 years. She was a homemaker and mother of 11, and loved spending time with her family. She loved to crochet, knit, sew and bake the grandchildren’s favorite buns and roulkucken.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her children: Marie (Bill) Tinson, Jack (Sharon), Marg (Roy) Watson, Ann (Warren) Gill, Helen (Ken) Janzen, Stella (Dave) Janicki, Sheldon (Joanne), Wes (Maylene), Don (Barb, and Terry (Lori); 25 grandchildren and their spouses; 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Kathy Doman, husband John and four brothers and six sisters.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Cheam Village for their care of Margaret.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack.
A Graveside Service will be held at Vedder View Gardens Cemetery on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 12:30 pm followed by a Memorial Service at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.
