April 5, 2020
The family of Margaret Epp, a long time resident of Chilliwack, and Abbotsford are sad to announce her passing on April 5, 2020 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 2006.
Left to fondly remember Margaret is her daughter Karen (Bryan) Card, her son David (Sharon) Epp, her son Gary (Colleen) Epp, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Margaret also leaves behind a large family of brothers, sisters, in-laws, nephews, and nieces.
Born in Saskatchewan, Margaret grew up in Yarrow. As a young adult she moved to Vancouver to work, where she met and married Henry. After a few short years out of the lower mainland, Margaret and Henry settled in Chilliwack where they lived for over 50 years. During this time she worked for almost 10 years at Chilliwack General Hospital. Following Henry's passing in 2006 she moved to the Menno Home in Abbotsford and lived there until this past fall when she moved to Vernon to be closer to her daughter.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Menno Place in Abbotsford for their many years of care and support. In addition, they would also like to thank the staff at the Polson Residential Care Centre in Vernon for keeping her safe and comfortable during her final months.
In light of the current restrictions on gatherings and out of respect for the safety of our communities, a celebration of mom's life will be set at a later time.
