Margaret Ellen Isabel Houston, nee Quinn, died on February 15, 2011 from cancer at the Chilliwack General Hospital. She was 83.
Margaret was born in Montreal, Quebec, daughter of Edith Longpre and Arthur Quinn. She is survived by her son Michael Houston (Margaret MacDonald) of Finch, ON, daughter Janice Harris of Colorado Springs, CO. and granddaughter Adrianna Harris of Colorado Springs, CO.
Survived by brother Jimmy Quinn, sisters Dorothy Mustill, Florence Castonguay and Anne Robillard.
Predeceased by spouse Gavin “Doug” Douglas Houston, brothers Francis Quinn, Arthur Quinn Jr., Gerry Quinn and Larry Quinn.
She loved gardening, crafts and show tunes. At Mom’s request, no formal service was held and cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at Cemetery le Repos Saint-Francois d’Assise in Montreal at a later date.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers are appreciated. Heaven just gained another angel. Rest in Peace.
