(Maggie)
Maggie was born September 29, 1951 in Ganges on Saltspring Island, B.C. She slipped away from family and friends at dawn on March 19, 2008 at Richmond Hospital.
Predeceased by her father Jim Scoones and sister-in-law Vera.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her mother Irene Hamilton; brothers: Jim,Doug,Rod (Connie) Scoones; sister, Corey Barker; son, Jeff (Sherri) Scoones; daughter, Breanna (Matt) Graham; grandchildren: Becca, Cody, Brad, Alexis Scoones and Matthew Graham.
Maggie, a free and independent person, traveled Europe in her youth and returned to the Lower Mainland of B.C. She moved to Galiano Island in the 90’s, where she established a floral service and worked with many seniors there. She enjoyed visiting her family in Chilliwack and gardening with her Mom.
Maggie will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, including her nephew Aaron; nieces Carley, Michelle, and Jewel who will plant a tree in her memory.
A celebration of her life will be held at the South Galiano Community Hall on Saturday April 12, 2008 from 1 - 4 p.m.
