Peacefully at her home in Chilliwack, BC Margaret passed away at the age of 83 years.
Margaret was born to Eyjolfur & Margaret Isfeld as the eldest of 7 children. She grew up in the Gimli/Winnipeg Beach area of Manitoba.
Margaret is survived by her daughters: Cheryl Tracey (Hofmann) of Chilliwack & Deborah May (Shantz) of Wallaceburg, ON - as well as many extended family members.
Margaret is pre-deceased by her husband Harold Leonard (Snoopy) Hillis and her eldest daughter Valerie Ann (Benoit); her parents; her brother Douglas Isfeld & other extended family members awaiting her arrival in eternal rest.
The Chilliwack area has been home to Margaret for 50 years. She has been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Royal Canadian Legion, ANAVETS & Senior Vet's for many years.
A Celebration of Life & internment of ashes will be held in the Spring time of 2020 at her hometown with her family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
Margaret's ability to face life's adversities with courage is her legacy. Her sense of humour, "no-nonsence" demeanor & independence were her trademarks.
She will be dearly missed - we rejoice with her as she is embraced in God's loving care & those angels she's been longing to behold.
