July 1932-July 2022 ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our strong willed and fiercely independent daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt in Chilliwack on July 19, 2022.
Peggy was predeceased by her son Greg and her husband Lorne.
She leaves her grandson Curtis (Lori) and great grandson Bradley, her daughter-in-law Shirley (Horst) and her sisters Ann and Donna, as well as family and friends to remember her.
Peggy was born in Aylmer Quebec, the second oldest in a family of nine children. She married Lorne in 1954 and in 1969 the family moved from Ottawa to Calgary then to Richmond, until they retired to Abbotsford then Chilliwack. It was in Richmond Peggy fell in love with the game of golf.
She was never happier than when she was playing golf with Lorne and Greg and her many friends from the golf courses. And every winter she and Lorne would head south to play more golf.
She was modest and proud of her hole-in-one trophy. When she could no longer play she never missed watching all the televised tournaments.
We extend a very special thank you Dr Mogga for his incredible commitment to Peggy's medical care and the kindness and support extended to her family. We thank her nurses at the Chilliwack General Hospital for treating her with great dignity and respect.
Donations in her honour to a charity of your choice is appreciated.
