Major Darwin Montie (ret’d) Passed away at age 68 surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 16, 2005, after a lengthy and valiant battle against leukemia.
Beloved husband of Josette, devoted father of Lorraine of Montreal, Quebec and Suzanne of Belleville, Ontario and cherished grandfather of Ashley, Sarah, Phillip, Kaitlyn, Jennifer, Christopher, Jason and great granddaughter Jade.
He will be dearly missed by his mother Martha of Chilliwack, brothers John of Chilliwack, Ron of Abbotsford, and Ken of Vernon and sister Marion of Burnaby and their families.
A Mass in Memory of Darwin was held Tuesday, June 21, in St. Patrick’s Church, 15 Steeple Hill Crescent, Fallowfield, Ontario at 11:00 a.m. It was his wish to have his memory honoured with donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A special thanks from his family to the doctors and healthcare workers who supported him.
