Madeline passed away suddenly on September 2, 2018 at her home in Chilliwack. Born in Champion Alberta, Madeline was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Jack, and is survived by son Shawn (Wendy), son Quentin (Heather), 3 grandchildren, beloved Alberta relatives and nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed reminiscing about her days growing up on the homestead farm. After graduating from St Mary's Catholic school she went on to university to get her teaching degree. Her first job as a teacher was in Mossleigh Alberta, in a one room school house. A few years later she met Dad at a dance in Calgary. He persuaded mom to come out to Ontario and married her on the 14th of November 1959.
Mom enjoyed many activities during her retirement years. Avid golfer, square dancer, historian, travel agent, and made the best potato salad ever! Above all mom was a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, best sister, and an approachable person who easy to talk to.
Services will be held at St Mary's Parish, 8909 Mary Street Chilliwack BC. Prayers : September 11, 2018 at 5:00pm. Funeral Mass : September 12, 2018 at 10:30am.
