Mabel Lilian WRY

Mabel Lilian Wry passed away peacefully on February 7, 2006 in Chilliwack at the age of 85 years with her family by her side and after a lengthy stay at Valley Haven Guest Home.

Mabel was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on January 14, 1921 where she grew up. She then moved to Sackville, New Brunswick, met and married Hollis (Hack) Wry. They moved to Chilliwack, B.C. in 1953 making Cultus Lake their home.

Mabel truly enjoyed her family and friends. She worked for many years at Sweet 16 where she met many people of all ages. She was full of life. She loved to garden, dabbled at painting and loved animals.

Mabel is survived by four children; Sheila Mundie, Sandi (Gary) Norrish, Hollis (Linda) Wry, Shelley (Michael) Walsh, 10 grandchildren; Mike, Tony, Kelly, Lisa, Mark, Krista, Greg, Tony, Harrison and Keenan and 12 great grandchildren; Josh, Jessica, Brighton, Jor­don, Kassidy, Sara, Jamie, Brett, Bailey Chloe, Lauren and Margaret. She is also survived by her close friends Fran and Jr. Marks. She was predeceased by her husband Hack Wry, her parents and brother Doug (Muriel) McCal­lum and Gordon and Nellie McCallum.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Henderson’s in Chilliwack with Padre Father Fred Tassinari officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Mabel will forever be lovingly remembered . . . another angel added to heaven.
