Louise was born to Chilliwack pioneers, Pearl and Arthur Zink, on October 25, 1914 and passed away two days after her 92nd birthday on October 27, 2006.
She was well known and respected in the Chilliwack area where she resided for most of her life. She was active in lawn bowling, curling and enjoyed playing bridge and visiting with her family and friends.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Doug Ireland officiating.
Cremation, Henderson’s Funeral Home & Crematorium.
A tea will be held at the Lynnwood Retirement Residence following the service at 2:00 p.m.
She is predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Stewart; her brother, Leonard and sister Evelyn. She is survived by her children; Don (Karon), Linda (Bryan), Judy (Pat) and John (Erica); 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Edwards and many nieces,nephews and family.
Her family offers many thanks to the staff and residents of Lynnwood, the home support workers from the Fraser Health Home Support Service, and the medical nurses on the 3rd floor of the Chilliwack General Hospital.
Flowers are acceptable, and donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon.
