Lynn Ann NIDER (EDWARDS)

July 17, 1970 – September 12, 2020
On the 1st of September, while living under the loving care of Bordas House in Chilliwack, Lynn suffered a major health incident. 911 was called and Lynn was taken to Chilliwack General Hospital, then subsequently to The Intensive Care Unit at Burnaby General Hospital. The medical care Lynn received was excellent. Lynn put up a good hard fight but the damage she suffered was too great. In the early evening of September 12th 2020, with foster brothers, David, Bruce, Ross, Scott and foster sister BillieGrace by her side, Lynn gently and painlessly passed away, her journey in this lifetime had ended.
Lynn was born developmentally challenged to a family that was incapable of taking proper care of her. At the age of 6 Lynn was placed in the loving care of Jim and Vivian Edwards. Lynn grew and flourished with her new family, living with them for 40 years.
Lynn loved family events, long road trips to the prairies with Mom and Dad, children, animals, arguing with her dad while they played rummy, music and old TV shows, especially Murdoch Mysteries, The WWE, T.J. Hooker and Happy Days (she loved the Fonz!). Lynn’s memory was incredible, her memories revolved around her family recalling the smallest incidents from years before, reminding everyone of what they had said, and all the while laughing with her infectious laugh. Lynn will always be loved and greatly missed.
In the last few years of her life, Lynn was living at Bordas House in Chilliwack, a home that took excellent care of her. Living at Bordas House was a great comfort to Lynn’s family knowing she was loved and cared for. Thank You!
Lynn is predeceased by her foster parents Jim and Vivian Edwards. Lynn is survived by her 4 foster brothers, David (Jennifer), Bruce (Pamela), Ross and Scott (Brenda) and foster sister BillieGrace Bonney.
Lynn’s family would like to thank, Bordas House, B.C. Ambulance Services, Chilliwack General Hospital ICU, and the ICU unit at Burnaby General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Chilliwack Society for Community Living.
