Lydia Schwarz late of Chilliwack and formerly of Yarrow, B.C. passed away August 1, 2004 in the Eden Rest Home at the age of 90. She was born in Blazennick, Ukraine on January 15, 1914 and had lived in this area for over 30 years.
Lydia had a great love of cooking and for gardening. She donated regularly to help people in Africa and other countries where there were disasters. If someone was needy she was always generous.
Lydia is survived by two nieces in Germany and by many close friends who will dearly miss her.
She was predeceased by her adopted son, Dennis Schwarz, in February 2000 and her husband, Horst, in1983.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Yale Road East with Elder Brian Taylor officiating. Interment at Musselwhite Cemetery in Abbotsford.
