Lydia passed away on Sept. 12, 2012 in Chilliwack BC. She was born in a little brown farm house in the Peace River town of Wembly, Alberta on Jan. 12, 1930 and moved to Greendale in 1944 with her family.

While at the Chilliwack Alliance Church, she met Frederick Howard Cramer her husband for 54 years. Over their life together, they lived in Vancouver, St. Catharines, Niagara on the Lake, and London, Ontario returning to Chilliwack in 1994.

While in Ontario, Lydia touched hundreds of lives through foster care, day care and her church activities and was nominated for Canadian Mother of the Year in 1965. An inspiration to all, she faced numerous physical challenges, overcoming them with a “whatever”, never wavering in her faith in her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She loved life with great passion and eagerly anticipated each day.

She will be cherished by her children: Robert Dwaine Cramer and his wife Kelly of Jensen Beach, Florida; Philip Anthony Cramer and his wife April of Chilliwack; Lynette Joyce Dyck and her husband Brian of Kamloops, BC; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Lydia has three surviving sisters in the Chilliwack area; Erna Wiebe, Anne Burrows, and Vera Kroeker.

Services were held at the Chilliwack Christian and Mission Alliance Church on Sept. 18, 2012.
