(Nov. 30, 1926 – May 3, 2010)
We lost our mom, Luise Hobek, suddenly on May 3, 2010. She was predeceased by our father, Henry Hobek and her grandson Zachary Hobek.
Our mom was a woman who gave all for her family. She and our father worked hard to ensure that we were always safe and secure and loved.
Mom bandaged countless skinned knees and kissed many bruises as we were growing up. She was proud of her home and the life that she and our father had made here in Canada.
No matter how early the morning, she was there with us at our hockey games. When we had needles to take, she was with us holding our hands to let us know we were safe. Christmas was always full of wonderful Austrian baking “vanille kipferln and rum kugeln” and birthdays always had the best homemade cakes. Mom made the best “gummi knoedeln”. We always had clean clothes to wear and food in our stomachs.
Mom enjoyed all her grandchildren and loved to play with them and make them laugh.
Mom and Dad did all for us and we are very, very grateful to have had these two for our parents. A more wonderful Mom and Dad we could never have asked for.
Mom, we will miss you and we love you very much. Thank you for everything.
