July 7, 1918 – Nov. 24, 2012
We are sad to mark the passing of our Mother, Lucille Arcand (neé Lessard), on November 24, 2012 at the Sidney Care Home on Vancouver Island. She began her life on July 7, 1918 on a farm near Meota, Saskatchewan.
In 1947 she moved to join her husband on their new dairy farm on Fairfield Island, near Chilliwack, British Columbia. Lucille was predeceased by her husband Remi after 62 years of marriage and is survived by her children: Raymond, Lorraine (Marklinger), Louise (Hamilton), Irene (Baker), and George. She was also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
“God saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine”.
We greatly appreciate the loving care and attention given to our Mother by staff at the Sidney Care Home.
