Born in Colinton, AB on November 16, 1940, she passed away in New Westminster, BC on February 7, 2019 at the age of 78 years.
Cecile is survived by Fred, her husband of 57 years, daughters Therese, Karen, Brenda (Dan), Mary (David), Penny, Sarah, son Robert (Kim), 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews and extended family. She is pre-deceased by her son Darren, her parents Eugene and Clara, her sisters Marie and Annette, and her brother Jim.
Cecile devoted her entire life to her family - opening her home to not only her own 5 biological children, but to 15 special needs long term foster children whom she always considered her own, and raised them as such. Her love and devotion to her faith was noticed by whomever was fortunate enough to spend time with her and share in her abundant laughter.
Funeral mass was held on February 15, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilliwack, BC.
