Lorraine passed away peacefully at the Chilliwack General Hospital on March 23, 2022 having suffered from Heart & Kidney failure. She is survived by her husband of 66 1/2 years, John, and her sons Robert (Bob) and Alan, her sisters Phyllis Menges and Deloris Augustine, sister-in-law Donna, 8 nieces, 7 nephews and 4 great grand children. She was predeceased by her son Kenneth in 1961 and by her parents Otto and Irma Brigge and brother Dennis.
Lorraine was born in Vegreville, Alberta and moved to Rosedale in 1946. She attended school in Rosedale and in Chilliwack Jr. and Sr. High Schools. She married John in 1955. She spent the most of her married life as a homemaker taking care of her children and husband.
Lorraine enjoyed her golf in summer and her curling and skiing in winter. Going to the Bahamas, Hawaii, Germany, California, Alaska and trips to every province except Newfoundland/Labrador and in every Region in British Columbia were highlights in her life.
The family wishes to thank Dr. S. Krakower, the B.C. Ambulance Service, the Emergency Room Doctors and all of the staff at the Chilliwack General Hospital and the Nurses and Aides at Fraser Health for their care and help.
A celebration of Life will be held at the Chilliwack Curling Club on Tuesday April 5, 2022 at 11:00 am.
