Lorne passed away on July 13, 2008 at the Eden Care Centre at age 76 years. He was born on July 6, 1932 in Chilliwack, B.C. Lorne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine, children Richard (Marie) Armstrong, Catherine (Rudy) Kopp, Karen (Mark Light) Armstrong, grandchildren Deborah and Darrell Kopp. He was predeceased by his mother Agnes in 1956 and his father Roy in 1971.

Lorne worked in the automotive industry for 40 years. His claim to fame was that he once worked on Elvis’ limo. He had a wonderful sense of humour and those around could even occasionally be witness to his patented “Seal Call.” Lorne was an avid reader and a dog lover. He enjoyed target shooting and he was a member of a local rod and gun club. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

In the spirit of Lorne’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
