Lois passed away on March 12, 2022 in Chilliwack General Hospital. Lois was in her 100th year.
She was born on March 23, 1922 in Chilliwack General Hospital.
Born in Chilliwack, she was raised on her family's dairy farm in Sardis. She graduated at Sardis Secondary.
A long time florist, Lois worked at Minter Country Gardens and Flowers and used her floral skills to arrange beautiful displays of flowers for each service as well as for special occasions at Cooke's Presbyterian Church. A proud member of the church, she served as an elder and also sang in the choir.
She was a very active volunteer and canvassed for several charities and was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award and several other awards of recognition. She also found time to serve on the Strata Council of Hawthorne Place.
Lois is survived by her nieces Barbara June Nosworthy, Michael Richardson, Sarah Richardson, Jane Bowers (Richardson); nephews John Mould, Ken Mould, Richard "Stephan"Mould, and several great nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her loyal and dedicated friend of 52 years Herta Stoffels.
Lois was predeceased by her eldest brother Bruce Richardson, older sister Alice Mould and her twin sister Phyllis Nosworthy.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Cooke's Presbyterian Church with Rev.Willem H. van deWall officiating. Interment will take place at Little Mountain Cemetery following the service.
The family would like to express their thanks to Rev. Willem and the staff and residents of Auburn Retirement Home, Dr. Enns and the doctors and nurses at Chilliwack General Hospital for their care of Lois.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lois' name to Cooke's Presbyterian Church.
