Lois Katherine Boschman. August 22, 1953 – November 19, 2013. It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Katherine Boschman announces her passing at Chilliwack General Hospital. She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her husband, Ron Denman, and their sons Kailen and Gareth. She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Helen (Reg) Friesen, Pete (Donna) Boschman, Esther (Kay) Geringer, Al (Barb) Boschman, and Ruth Boschman; and sisters-in-law Sherry Boschman, Ruth (Trevor) MacIntyre and Laney (John) Campbell. Her father, Henry, and her mother, Netha, brother, John, and sister Mary predeceased her. Lois adored and loved unconditionally her many nieces and nephews. She had a place in her heart for every single one of them. Her many dragon boat friends on Harrison and Cultus Lakes will remember her wonderful smile and glowing presence and her fierce determination as she sat at the front of the boat urging her paddlers to work just a little bit harder because “they were in a race”.
Lois lived her life with love and joy and all of those who were around her will carry that love and joy with them forever. The family would like to thank the fourth floor nurses and staff for their compassionate care while she was in the hospital in her final days; Dr. Gurjal and Dr. Almahmudi in the oncology unit at the Abbotsford Hospital; and Dr. Mervin Scholtz who helped her travel through her journey during her illness. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time.
