October 8, 1927 - December 20, 2021
Lily, a woman known for her incredible resilience, strong opinions and love for her family, was 94 years young when she took her last breath on December 20th at the Chilliwack General Hospital. She left this earth to join her late husband, Charles Stanley Ross (Stan) and beloved son, Richard Parry. Lily was born on October 8th, 1927 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. She grew up on the family farm, and then left home to board in the city and train as a stenographer. She moved to Chilliwack in 1950, where she worked at the Chilliwack Army Base before marrying Stan and retiring at the age of 50. She enjoyed playing slo-pitch well into her late 80's, riding her bicycle around downtown Chilliwack, going for Sunday drives and playing a role as a very involved grandmother. She was a very generous lady with a huge heart, who was always trying to think of creative and meaningful ways to help those she loved.
Lily is lovingly remembered by her children Brad, Susan (Tom) Scott (Christine), her grandchildren Shawna, Corey (Bernadette), Chelsea (Blake), Megan, Lucas (Mackenzie) and Noah, and great grandchildren Aiden, Ashtyn, Gavin, Tucker, Lillian, and Emmett.
She was looking forward to meeting her twin grandsons due in early 2022. Predeceased by her sister Violet, and parents John and Annabelle Davey. She will also be dearly missed by many dear friends and family.
