Lewis Lindsay Dickson (Bus) Britton passed away peacefully Saturday, May 8, 2003 surrounded by his family.

Bus is survived by his sons, Rob, Ken (Stephanie) and Jeff (Ann); grandchildren, Jennifer (Shawn) Broadbent, and Sam and Lindsay Britton; great-grandchildren, Bianca and Dana Broadbent; brothers, Laurie Britton and Tony (Rene) Britton; sister Charlotte (Dick) Roth; and sister-in-law Bert Britton.

He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor; parents, Ernie and Elsie Britton; and brothers, Bill Britton, R.E. (Dick) Britton, and Dorien Britton.

Bus served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War from 1940-1945 stationed in Newfoundland, then returned to Chilliwack as an electrician for the duration of his career.

Bus will be fondly remembered for his unwavering sense of community, his love of family and friends, and his ‘’back yard’’ get togethers.

The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to Dr. Martin Dodds and the staff at the Waverly Lodge.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Carman United Church, Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 1 p.m. Tea to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation.
