Mar 6, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Leslie Taylor Norris announce his passing on March 6, 2018 at the age of 91 at Chilliwack General Hospital, after his courageous battle with complicated medical illnesses.

Les was born in St. John's Newfoundland on August 23, 1926, the third oldest of nine children. He met and married the love of his life, Jackie, in 1948 and after living in many places throughout Canada, eventually settled in B.C. where they enjoyed life since.

Les was famous for being resilient and for his rambunctious, larger-than-life character and spirit. He loved family, fun, a good laugh, and sports - he never missed a good Canucks or Blue Jays game.

Les will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years Marjorie Jacqueline (Jackie) Norris, and his three children, Linda Harvey (Dave), Robert Norris (Dee), Roxanne Wojcik (Bruce); his grandchildren Bobbi-Jo Harris (Craig), Karen Kendall (Ross), Tanya Sanford (Garrett), Tammy Wojcik (Gord), Paul Wojcik (Shelley), Les Norris (Jenny); his great-grandchildren Jennette, Carmen, Tristan, Jaden, Hayes, Madeline, and Ian; as well as his sister Jean Meager (Larry).

We would like to extend our heartfelt thank-you for the exceptional kindness and care provided in the hospital by the emergency room staff, and especially Dr. Zaheer Nagdee, Dr. Megan Melnyk, Dr. Ryan Gant and Dr. Cam Ross, as well as nurses Stella and Jennie on the 4th floor.

Les was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be forever missed. We love you.
