Les McDaniel, late of Chilliwack, BC, passed away Oct. 9, 2002, at the age of 80 years. He was born Oct. 6, 1922 in Abbotsford, BC.
Les was a veteran of World War II and served overseas from 1944-1946 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Major Angus Haggarty officiating. Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack.
Les is survived by his wife Reta; sons: Les Jr. (Gerda) McDaniel of Armstrong, Will McDaniel of Kamloops, Ken (Colleen) McDaniel of Logan Lake, Bob McDaniel of Creston; daughters: Barb (Ed) Peppiatt of Chilliwack, Donna (Dave) Reid of Chilliwack, Joy Kenney of Maple Ridge; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother Raymond (Pat) McDaniel of Chilliwack.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Velma in 1982.
