(Jan. 26, 1927 - Sept. 27, 2008)

Leonard Jacob Froese was brought into the presence of his Lord, and best friend, Jesus, on September 27, 2008.

Leonard was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on January 26, 1927. He grew up in Yarrow, B.C. with four brothers.

Leonard was an entrepreneur and business man of various trades, including Yarrow Lumber Yard, Knight Barber Shop, and Dalco Exterior Products.

In 1947, Leonard became a barber, and worked with M. Hank of Yarrow. In 1953, he married Myrtle (nee Ashenhurst) whom he shared 55 years of marriage with.

Leonard was very involved in church organizations including youth camp work, and the Christian Business Men’s Association.

He also played on championship baseball teams, and in his later years, was an active member of the Atchelitz Threshermans Association.

Leonard will be remembered for his deeply rooted faith in Christ

Jesus, his unconditional love for all people, and his passion to see people come to know, and follow Christ

Jesus as their personal Saviour.

Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle, and four children: Don, Garth, Mark, and Colleen. Other family members include 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Friends and family cherish Leonard’s memory. He will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Road.
