Leon (Sunny) Zabowski passed away on April 20, 2010 at Cheam Village in Agassiz at the age of 53 years.
Sunny was born January 14, 1957 in Saskatoon, SK. He attended John Dolan School until 1968 until he and his parents moved to Chilliwack. He went to Sunshine Drive Occupational Centre.
Sunny made many friends with his smile. Everyone was his “friend”.
In 1976, Sunny moved back to Saskatoon where he worked at the Cosmo Centre and joined the Special Olympics Hockey Team. Sunny came back to the area in 1996 with his mom, settling in Agassiz. Sunny loved everything and everybody.
Leon (Sunny) will be sadly missed by his sisters, Addy, Sylvia (John), Sally (Marcelle) and Anne (Frank); many nieces and nephews and all his friends. He was predeceased by his mom, daddy and sister, Roma.
It took so little to make him happy because everything was his “favorite”.
We will miss you “brother” and “Uncle”. Special thanks to Dr. McIntosh and Cheam Village, to their staff for their loving care for Sunny. You have put nursing care on a level that will be hard to surpass. Bless you all.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC. Pastor Tim Rowan, officiant. Commitment at Chilliwack Cemetery on Little Mountain.
