Lena Bowers (nee Prokopetz), late of Chilliwack, B.C., formerly of Vancouver, B.C., passed away June 27, 2005 in Chilliwack at age 89.
Lena was born Nov. 23, 1915 in McNutt Saskatchewan, and had lived in this area for 25 years.
Lena’s occupations were varied, from ordinary housework server, clerical work as well as making machine gun parts in a factory outside Toronto, ON during World War II. Her interests were keeping up to date in political field and all major sports. She played some golf, knitted and did volunteer work in the community. Lena was loved by all.
A service will be held at a later date.
