Laura Martin late of Chilliwack, passed away on February 3, 2003 at 90 years of age.
Survived by her children, Faith (Art) Kehler of Heffley Creek, and Bill (Marion) Martin of Hope; grandchildren, Lorrie (Charles) Whipps of Ontario, and Tim (Doris) Kehler of Texas; great-grandchildren Ben and Chelsea Whipps, and Angie and Katerina Kehler; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by her husband Bill Martin; son Larry; and her eight brothers and sisters.
Laura was born May 2, 1912 in Bjorkdale, Sask. She moved to Burnaby where she met and married Bill. In the late 1930s they cleared land and built a home in Capilano where they raised a family before moving to Chilliwack in 1961.
Memorial service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2003 at the Salvation Army Church, 46420 Brooks Ave., Chilliwack with Major Don Law officiating. Interment to follow at Chilliwack Cemetery.
