Larry Wilcox, 76, of Chilliwack, died peacefully in his sleep on September 15, 2019 in Abbotsford Regional Hospital. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, of 18 years, Carol Wilcox; his two daughters from his first marriage Topaze (Bill) Foster & Sarah (Matthew) Ingles; step children Lee-Ann (Butch), Calvin, Aaron (Renee), (Melissa), Elaine (Jason).
He was Papa to Meagan, Blake, Zachary & Ryan. As well as Sarah (Noel), Elliot, Jennifer, Brian, Steven, Celeste, Emily, Michael, Cierra, Faith, Ethan, & Nathanial and was looking forward to being a Great Grandpa next year.
He is survived by his sister Trudie (Peter) Hingley, nephews, nieces, extended families & many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Elizabeth; foster brothers Terry and Russell; step-son Peter & step-daughter-in-law Aletha.
Larry was a loving & caring person who made deep & lasting relationships throughout his life. He will be remembered for his incredible laugh, gentle soul, passionate HABS allegiance, & faithfulness.
He was an active volunteer in each community he lived in within Quebec, Ontario & B.C. He coached hockey, bowling for YBC, was involved in the Roya lCanadian Legion & donated blood 164 times. He worked with Bell Canada for over 30 years.
In the last few years, he wasn't as mobile but he was still zealous for his family, friends & community and was always willing to share his faith in God. He is deeply missed.
Celebration of Life is at 1:30 on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Chilliwack Alliance Church.
