Lance Williams passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Chilliwack, BC at the age of 36. Many years of Lance's life were spent on the Fraser River. He was an artist, fisherman, warrior and a long time canoe puller. Lance trained in the canoe and raced with his uncles and family members in the River Spirit Canoe Club. Lance has ancestry from Pilalt (Skwah), Sto:lo, Nooksack and Samahquam Nations. Lance will lovingly be remembered by his children Thomasina Williams and Odessa Chenier Williams, stepfather Allan Campbell, father Willis Peters, siblings Slade, Brenda (Luke), Carlos (Deanna), Stephanie (Hugh), Shannon (Blayne), Donah, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Roselita "Rosie" Williams and grandparents Francis & Winnifred Williams. Prayers were held on Tuesday, July 7 at Skwah Band Hall. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St. Chilliwack followed by burial at Skwah Cemetery.
