Kurt Ronald Kassier born December 4, 1933 on Hillcrest Farm in Pinetown, South Africa, passed away on February 14, 2003 with all his family by his side.
He was the deeply loving husband of Elizabeth Kassier; and beloved father to his four children, Pamela, Liz, Carolyn, and James, to whom he was deeply kind, wise and loving, all the days of his life; beloved grandfather to Amanda, Russel, Dillan, and Josiah. He will also be sorely missed by his son-in-laws, Chris Steunenberg, John Lowndes, and Andy Zacharias, who each benefitted greatly from his wisdom, advice, and insight.
He was the son of Doris and Bertold Kassier, who have gone on before him, and the brother of Eleanor, Heinz and Walter.
He was a man of faith, prayer, vision, charity, love, and family, and his presence here on earth will be missed intensely by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral is being held at the Central Pentecostal Church in Chilliwack at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2003 in his memory. His earthly body will be laid to rest at Hillcrest of Little Mountain Cemetery in Chilliwack.
The family is accepting flowers, as he always loved nature, and flowers.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be left with the church, and will be directed to an African charity mission close to Mr. Kassier’s heart, and place of birth.
