Kristine Rosalyn Hatt, born May 21, 1985 in Chilliwack, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2004 in a tragic car accident.
Kristy is survived by her parents, Richard and Karen Hatt; her brothers, Jeremy and Ryan; her sister, as well as best friend, Amy; her grandparents, John and Joyce Amundsen, Ida Hatt; and great-grandmother Myrtle Coleman. She will also be so sadly missed by Auntie Susan, Auntie Doris, Uncle Roland, Auntie Liz, Uncle Larry, and Auntie Diane; her precious cousins, Alicia, Nicola, Michelle, Laurissa, and Jasmine; her Godparents, Lindsay Harrison and Steve Reeves; as well as so many, many friends.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Walter Hatt; and her great-grandmother, Kay Amundsen.
Kristy, a 2003 Honour Roll graduate of Agassiz Secondary School, was traveling back to Kelowna, where she was studying nursing at OUC when she was taken from us.
Kristy loved water and was a member of the Agassiz-Harrison Aquanauts Swim Club for 14 years, where she coached for two years, and a member of the OUC rowing club. She worked as a lifeguard at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Center, and at the Ferny Coombe Pool in Agassiz.
Kristy grew up on the family dairy farm in Agassiz and loved to be out in the barn with the animals, and especially her dogs.
She will be forever remembered for her shining smile and the way she lit up the room when she entered. Kristy was gentle, kind and loved by everyone she met.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Agassiz Secondary School Gym.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Kristy Hatt Memorial scholarship Fund at the Prospera Credit Union, Agassiz.
Kristy, we love you so much. Thank you for sharing those wonderful 18 years with all of us. We hold on to every cherished moment of every second spent with you.
