Kornelis Vroegop passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Valley Haven Guest Home at age 84 years. Kornelis was born in Klundert, the Netherlands, January19, 1924.
Kees is survived by his loving wife Adriana Catharina of 55 years, his daughter Heleen (John) Kappert, his son Frank (Helen) Vroegop, his son Harry (Sheri) Vroegop; eight grandchildren, Henry Kappert, Karina (Kelly) Glasmann, Clayton, Lianne (Dan) DeVries, Justin, John, Neil, and Curtis; and one Great Grandchild Levi DeVries; his brother Jan Vroegop, and sister Ann (Jaap) Legemate, and numerous nieces and nephews from the Netherlands.
He was predeceased by his daughter Lianne (Bill) Visscher in 1981, and his sister Maatje (Bartel) Boot in 2002.
A visitation was held for family and friends on Monday March 24th, 2008 between 7:30 – 8:30 pm at the Bethel Netherlands Reformed Congregation.
A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Bethel Netherlands Reformed Congregation, Chilliwack BC. Rev. Pieter Van Ruitenburg officiating.
Pallbearers were the six grandsons: John Vroegop, Neil Vroegop, Clayton Vroegop, Henry Kappert, Curtis Vroegop, and Justin Vreogop.
