Klaas JAGERSMA

October 4, 2008

(Jan. 12, 1950 - Oct. 4, 2008)

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” — Hebrews 11: 6

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing to Glory of our dear husband, father and Opa, Klaas Jagersma.

Dad was a special man to all who knew him. He had an eye on the eternal things in life, and did not live for this life. He always encouraged us to remember that the journey in this life was but temporary, and that we could be called home to glory at anytime.

Dad lived a passionate life for Jesus Christ, and especially found a way to reach out to the hurting souls or disadvantaged. From working with special needs children, to teaching learning assistance, and serving on the board of Bethesda, Dad spent much of his time loving and reaching out to those that seemed more difficult to love.

Dad also loved the outdoors. He loved God’s creation and took pleasure in it every day.

For his family Dad was a humble leader. An amazing thing about Dad is that he was so real in his relations with us; he admitted when he made mistakes, which made us respect and honour him, so much. Dad was an unreal husband; a man that loved his wife every day, all day. Dad always said marriage is made out of a commitment to make the best and be the best for your spouse. Their marriage was a testament to us kids.

In the end we have to lay to rest the earthly body of a great man. A man we respected so highly. A man of such Godly example. A humble man.

We will see you again in Glory dad.
