1937 – 2013

Kendall L. Sisson of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away on February 12, 2013 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 10, 1937 in Calgary, Alberta, and grew up in Duchess. Ken lived in the Chilliwack area for 33 years. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his family, wife Delores of 53 years, son Don, granddaughter Sarah, sister Muriel Delahunt of Calgary, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Ken was predeceased by his son Richard in 1985. Ken served in the military for 21 years and upon retirement worked for CSC for another 21 years. Ken was an avid sports fan and over the years you would often find him cheering on a team at the local rink or ball field. Over the past 13 years, Ken was a valued volunteer and officer of the Chilliwack Elks Lodge devoting many hours to helping others. He was also a member of Branch 4 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ken resided in Rainbow Estates where he looked after the RV compound and assisted many friends. His sense of humor and kindness will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bull and Dr. Krachour, and staff at Cascade Hospice for their special care. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm February 22, 2013, at Branch 280 Legion on Vedder Road. In lieu of flowers it would be appreciated if a memorial donation be made to either the Terry Fox Foundation or the Elks & Royal Purple Fund for Children.
