Kathy Janet Swanson passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 27, 2008.
Kathy is lovingly remem–bered by her sister, Linda (Lorne) Johnson, Grande Cache; and Linda’s children:Darryl (Cindy), Murray (Anna), Cheryl Ann (Danny); grand-nephew, Brendan; grand-niece Emily; and brother, Ken (Carol) Swanson, Edmonton and their children James, Eric, Jennifer (Curtis); and grand-nieces Emily and Haily; uncle, Rod Matthews and his wife Virginia, Kingston ON; and cousins:Larry, Douglas, Dick, Rod; and niece, Mary Jane; cousins: Gerry (Maureen) Spender, Vancouver; David (Joan) Spender, Winnipeg; and cousin: Maureen Litton of Great Britain.
She will be sadly missed by her neighbours, all of her friends and irreplaceable at the Vedder Legion #280.
Kathy was born June 3, 1946 in Prince Rupert BC, first of three children to William and Joyce.
Kathy spent the majority of her life in the armed forces before retiring in Sardis to care and be with her Mom and Dad.
William passed away in 1993 and Joyce just recently in August of 2006.
There will a viewing of Kathy on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Avenue from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Memorial Celebration of Kathy’s amazing journey will take place at the Vedder Legion #280 on Saturday February 2, 2008 at 1:00 pm. A reception to follow at the Legion.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Branch #280 building fund.
