Kathleen Ada (nee: Farr) DOLLMAN

Passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord at Heritage Village Care Facility, Chilliwack, BC on December 13, 2005 at age of 84 years. She was born in Witley, Surrey, England on June 09, 1921.

In 1941 Kay married Canadian soldier Leonard Myland, stationed in Witley. She later emigrated to Canada as a war-bride in 1945 with their daughter Camilla to join her husband. She and Camilla returned to England in 1947 at which time she became divorced. In 1949 they settled back in Canada.

She met and married David Dollman in Vancouver in 1955 and they shared the next 46 years in Vancouver, Burnaby and Peachland, BC. In her retirement years, Kay was very active in the Peachland Baptist Church, Hospital Auxiliary, peer counselling, community functions and in writing a column for seniors in the Peachland paper.

In 2004, Kay moved to Chilliwack to be closer to family after which her health began to deteriorate. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Ada Farr; step-father, Charles Preston; husband, David and sister-in-law, Gertrude Bell.

Survived by her daughter, Camilla [Doug] McCracken; grandchildren, Ian [Miriam] McCracken, David [Christl] McCracken; great grandchildren, Connor and Sean [Ian] and Logan, Duncan, Evan [David], all in Chilliwack; brother, Les [Stella] Farr; sister, Shirley [Ron] Dedman and brother, Meville [Maureen] Preston, all in England; brother-in-law, Jim Bell of Abbotsford; many nephews and nieces in both Canada and England.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favourite charity: Hope International Development Agency, 214 Sixth St, New Westminster, BC V3L 3A2.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Weibe & Jeske in charge of cremation.
