Our angel was born July 9th, 1958 and passed while in our presence on Monday May 28, 2018.
We lost the strongest fighter, the most tenacious ally, and the most beautiful wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and child we have known. Kelli's cancer finally stole her from us after 13 years of the bravest duel ever. She is a true champion to all who have known her. She is survived by her best friend and husband Ian, daughter Melissa, son Ian (Andrea), and granddaughter Nevaeh.
Kelli worked as a room attendant for many years at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa, where she also won accolades as employee of the year. Kelli loved dancing, laughter, trips, good friends, great food, white wine and bingo. If you ever met Kelli, you would remember her; she was utterly unique. If you wanted an honest answer, just ask Kelli! She also asked that anyone attending her celebration wear comfortable, colourful clothes. She loved purple!
We would like to thank a few of the doctors who showed Kelli grace and determination through her journey; Doctors Chahal, Wiggins, Fadyeyeva, Bull, Lee, and particularly Dr. Geddes and Kelli's long-time oncologist Dr. Gurjal at the Abbotsford location of the BC Cancer Agency. Words cannot describe your passion and resolve. Thank-you all.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering for Kelli on Sunday June 17th, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the beautiful Cascade Room overlooking Harrison Lake in the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa. Please bring your memories and laughter and share your thoughts with us on this special day.
