Justina Riediger

January 6, 1921 - February 25, 2023
Justina Riediger passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on February 25, 2023, at the age of 102. Justina was the 2nd of 9 children born to Aron & Justina Riediger. She was born in Kherson, Russia, and came to Canada in 1924 as a 3 year old. The family settled in the village of Blumenort, Saskatchewan. In 1945 the family moved to B.C.
As an adult, Justina lived in Vancouver with 2 of her sisters where the Lord provided work for her. In 1993, she moved back to Chilliwack together with her sisters.
Many Scripture verses were meaningful to Justina. Her daily prayer was Psalms 103: 1-3: "Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."
Justina was predeceased by her parents, brothers Aron and Peter, sisters Helen, Mary and Elizabeth, a brother and sister in infancy, and her sister in law Irene. She leaves to mourn one sister Tiena, sister-in-law Helen, brother in law Henry Esau(Linda) and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Village for the excellent care they gave Justina during her last few years.
Celebration of Life Service to be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Hocking Avenue, Chilliwack at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
