(nee Reid) June Isabelle Talbot.

June 4, 1922 – Jan 23, 2013. June passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver.

She was predeceased by husband Jack and is survived by daughter Linda; sons: Ian (Barb); Gordon (Janice); grandsons: Graham and Nelson; sisters-in-law, Anne; Leta and Vivian; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members in Canada and the United Kingdom. June was born and grew up in Ponoka, Alberta. She lived in several Canadian provinces and territories, but called Chilliwack, British Columbia home for close to 30 years. June was an active member in the Chilliwack United Church and loved to garden, cook, read, do crafts and dote on her grandsons. She also did volunteer work with the Salvation Army, Girl Guides of Canada (Brownies) and Meals-on-Wheels. June was the youngest of nine children in the Joseph and Mary Reid family. Her sole surviving sister, Ethel Baumgartner passed away in December 2012, predeceasing June by one month. A joint celebration of life for June and Ethel, and a commemoration of the passing of the first Canadian born decedents of the Joseph and Mary Reid family will take place in Ponoka, Alberta on June 8, 2013. The Talbot family wishes to thank everyone at St. Paul’s Hospital for their dedicated and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (BC), the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
