June Gore, late of Chilliwack, passed away July 18, 2003 in Valleyhaven, age 96. She was born Feb. 5, 1907 in Weyburn, Sask., and had lived in this area for 65 years.

She was a long-time member of the Junior Davis Ford Circle and attended the Pentecostal Church for many years. She spent many hours working in her garden and also enjoyed making quilts. Her famous apple pies were always a family treat. She loved tending to her chickens and enjoyed boarding horses at her place. A Memorial Service will be held July 23, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home. Pastor Elmer Martin officiating. Interment at IOOF Cemetery. Casket bearers David Gore, Mark Gore, Tony Gore, Lee Gore, James Braun, and Matt Hall.

She is survived by sons Glen (Margaret) and Gil (Diane) of Chilliwack, and daughter Pearl Szucs of Langley. Seven grandchildren Mark Gore, Tony Gore, Lee Gore (Irene Attema), Jill Hall (Matt), Darlene Gore, David Gore, Debbie Braun (James), and eight great-grandchildren: Megan, Jesse, Amber, Luke, Sarah, Brianna, Brandon and Joshua. Also survived by brothers Ernest and Chester Robb and sister Hazel Gilroy of Weyburn, Sask. She was predeceased by her husband William Gore in 1986, and sister Violet Coad and brother Arthur Robb. If friends so desire, donations may be made to B.C. Cancer Agency.
