Sadly, on June 29, 2007 at the Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminister, BC.
She was born in Montreal, QC on November 19, 1927.
Predeceased by her mother Lily and father John, first husband Jim, sister Kay, and brother Bill.
Survived by husband, Les; sons: John (Jocelyn), Jerry (Jacquie), Jack (Joan); grandchildren: Jeremy, Cody, Alaina, Stephanie, and Michael; sister-in-law, Winnie, and close friend Jayne Melmer, both of Burlington, ON, and step-sons Bob (Mary), John (Renata), Jim (Janice) and families.
Julia taught elementary school in Quebec and later became a realtor in Kamloops BC. When Julia moved to Chilliwack she was rewarded by the many wonderful friendships she cherished through her contact with the many groups and activities she experienced
She was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Chilliwack, BC. Julia loved being active with the Mall Walkers, and enjoyed line dancing and traveling.
Family was a very important part of her life and her grandchildren were a constant source of pride, joy and love for her. Julia will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held at St Mary’s Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC and will consist of Prayers on Friday July 6, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. and Funeral Service on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.; reception to follow at the church hall.
