Born in Kamsack, SK on February 16, 1920, Julia passed away peacefully at the Chilliwack General Hospital on the morning of March 11th 2008. She was predeceased by her husband Leo, daughter Colleen, brothers Steamer, Tom and Joe, sisters Katzie, Loretta, sister-in-law Lil, brother-in-law Ed, nieces Rae and Mary-Lou. She is survived by daughter Anita, grandson Michael, granddaughter Jonita, brothers Dan and Tunney, great-grandchildren Graeme and Talana, and several nephews and nieces.

Julia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was known for her understanding, kindness and terrific sense of humour. She was a wonderful wife and mother, an amazing grandmother and a good friend, whose friendships lasted years. Her many talents included being a terrific cook, a great hostess, and a creative writer. She lived her life to the fullest and loved to entertain.

Prayers to be held at 7:00 p.m. on March 17th at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church – 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack. Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Church on March 18th 2008 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Covenant House would be appreciated.
