Judith Anne Hunter (nee Barker)

May 13, 1946 - July 23, 2019
Judy Hunter was born in Chilliwack, BC, May 13, 1946 and passed away peacefully at her home in Granisle, BC. July 23, 2019.
Judy was predeceased by her husband Bob; son Darryl; sisters Brenda and Diana; parents Elsie and Howard. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra; son Chris; sister Trish; brothers Rick and Dennis; grandsons Robert, Charles, Kade, Kai and Asher; and many extended family and close friends.
Judy grew up in Chilliwack and on Vancouver Island. She married Bob in 1965 and they were blessed with 3 children. In 1974 she moved to Kitimat, BC with her young family for Bob's job with Alcan. Judy found purpose in running her small business - Unique Flowers, catering for non-profit organizations and starting a late career as a teachers aid/assistant at Kitimat City High. In 2000 she retired and moved to Granisle, but shortly thereafter returned to work at Babine Elementary Secondary School, starting her second retirement in 2018.
Judy was a remarkable and caring woman, citizen and mother. Wherever life took her, she always made time for friends, family and to give back to her community...and to play Bingo : )
A Memorial Service will be held at the Granisle Seniors Centre, 19 Chapman St. at 2 pm on August 11, 2019. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Granisle Seniors Association.
