1930-2005
Juanita passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2005, at the Bowcrest Care Facility in Calgary, AB at the age of 75 years following a long illness.
She was born in Steam Mill, NS on February 23, 1930.
She will be sadly missed by her second husband Bill; her children Valerie (Matt) Clare; Gordon (Heather) West; Calvin (Ann) West; Juliette West; and Wanda West; her step-children Greg (Kathy) Chury; Pat (Joyce) Chury; Leah Ann (Stewart) Vail; and numerous grand children and great grand children. Also surviving are her half brothers William (Ethel) Wellwood, Bob (Rose) Wellwood and Marshell Wellwood; and half sisters Tilly Coyne, Faye Young and Patricia Whiting, all from Berwick NS. She was predeceased by first husband, Gerald West, her Mother, Vera, and step-father, Daniel (Micky) Coughlin.
Her caring gentle nature, wit, and wonderful laugh will be missed. A special thank you goes out from the family to the home care nurses, the palliative care volunteers, and the nursing and care staff of Bowcrest Care Facility.
Relatives and friends are invited to share prayers and celebrate her life at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday June 2nd, 2005, at the West Calgary Full Gospel Church (8339 Bowness Rd., N.W.). In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Lung Association, PO Box 4500, Station South, Edmonton, Alberta, T6E 6K2.
