SMITH: Joyce Irene (nee Gervais)
Joyce Irene Smith (nee Gervais) passed away on October 15, 2016 at Penticton, BC at the age of 91 years. Joyce is survived by her daughters Joy Smith (Tom Moore), Melody (Bill) Doehle, Betty-Jo (Rob) Weaver; granddaughters Lindsey and Julie Doehle; sisters Clara Davidson & LaReine (Ray) Madden; as well as beloved sisters-in-law and numerous nieces & nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Joseph Smith; infant granddaughter Blossom Weaver; sisters Dorothy Davidson, Helen Harris, & Florence Hanson; brothers Gerald Gervais & Larry Gervais; and numerous beloved sisters & brothers-in-law. Joyce was a member of the Penticton United Church. Her greatest joy was her family and helping to raise her two granddaughters. She volunteered countless hours at her Church and at the Penticton Soupateria. A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Sat. Nov. 12 at Penticton United Church, 696 Main Street, Penticton BC with Reverend Laura Turnbull officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Church Women would be appreciated.
